@dli_odoir I’d rather see him pummelled at the ballot box - wishing him a speedy recovery so he can see it.

RT @maitlis: Breaking news: cnn reporting president trump being taken to Walter Reed hospital.

Isn’t there a secret service agent who tastes all his food first in case it’s poisoned yet here he is injecting experimental drugs? https://t.co/Z1wgJB5GIc

@Bel_fastcyclist Remember the uproar on the Falls when the Glider started and a bus lane appeared outside a school? Parents were gonna do all sorts.. park in the bus lane regardless etc etc. One week of red coat patrols and it was never heard of again 🤨

@johnston_evo3 @MorpheusNI Yes, app available to under-18s from yesterday. Kids are walking petri-dishes.. our toddler is in nursery and picked up a cold in the first week back, which we then all got. If we can pick up a cold that easily, we can pick up Covid.

Second order effects - Trump campaign now have cover to stop their super spreader rally events without being seen to capitulate to the libs. Win, win.

Second order effects - The majority of people are naturally empathetic. We're hard-wired to wish sick people well -watch for the polls bump.

Second order effects - remember his tax returns? Remember the Proud Boys slip? Now drowning in a tsunami of commentary about Trump's 'good spirits' and 'Covid recovery'.

Second order effects - the next debate as planned is now cancelled. The last one hurt Trump. He can position himself as a faultless victim of the ‘China virus’.

Their cognitive dissonance will allow them to easily argue both that Covid is no worse than a flu (Trump didn’t even need a day off!) and that Trump is the strongest of strongmen (Trump didn’t even need a day off!)

Prediction: he’ll be presented as having it, shaking it off easily and chomping at the bit to get back at it. All of which echos what his base want to think both about Covid and about Trump.
