@gerrymcgovern @katie_fenn Ebikes have the potential to be an absolute game changer in my opinion - they offer all of the benefits of a traditional bike with the range and propulsion aid many currently need a small car for. A 20km commute via eBike is feasible for huge number that couldn’t with a bike.

RT @_Natalie93: Being rude to waiters, cleaners, bar staff or customer service assistants is very telling of someones character 🤮

@katie_fenn Melts my head that people can’t see that more cyclists and cycling infra free up the roads for people that really need/want to drive. Majority of people hate driving and would much rather walk/cycle/bus/train if infra supported it.

My paternal grandfather didn’t drive anywhere. He had no licence and no car. But what he did have was a bicycle, a train station a mile away and a train network covering Ireland. The nearest train station to his house today is 18 miles away. https://t.co/vve91GFafA

Increased uptake of cycling in society tackles climate change, noise pollution, road fatalities and the obesity crisis all at once. Yet, get on a bike in this country and take to our roads and it’s like you pissed in the cornflakes of every other driver you meet. 🤷🏻‍♂️

“…and now I’m too afraid.” We really need an absolute sea change in our society. Even as an absolute petrol head, I can see cars are an aberration that my grandfather’s generation mistakenly reorientated our world around. https://t.co/I3MyKi8JTv
