@tomcoates Certain countries have cottoned on its not rocket science if you increase childcare provisions, lower tax burden for each additional child, fund extra curriculars and incentive grandparents to support parents.
@tomcoates Anecdotally, we’re two and through largely due to the abysmal lack of state childcare provision in Northern Ireland. We’re also in the squeezed middle where I earn just enough salary to get zero childcare benefit anywhere it’s available.
@tomcoates Interesting stats, thanks for sharing. I suppose what I’m getting at is state childcare is a good proxy of how state prioritises parents generally. Did some reading a while back on this and Italy, Japan, and particularly China only now waking up to future consequences.
