Just remembered when Boris, as London Mayor, arranged for a ban on drinking on the tube to come into effect at 11:59pm on a Saturday night and tube stations had to close as people held last ditch parties.

@jessbrammar Unfortunately, lobby journalists seem to have a very frustrating habit of each asking him three questions at a time, allowing him to simply answer the two least important questions and ignore the third. My point above is usually the one he refuses to answer.

@jessbrammar Jess, can you please tell me why lobby journalists aren’t nailing Johnson on his point? People are simply still moving within the implicit permissions given to them by the UK Gov. Millions of people ignore media, why wouldn’t they go into an open pub?
