@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 If you lack the ability to recognise your own logic when it's presented back to you with different parameters, I have neither the time nor the inclination to teach you.
Thoughts
@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 Ah, Brian - unable to answer a single question I've asked you so now you resort to ad hominem attacks. Try to be better?
@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 Once again Brian, you make your own assumption then comment on it as if it's my view. π€¨ Have you forgotten that this thread started with you, not me, suggesting that positive discrimination akin to 50-50 policing might be appropriate to 'clear out' a residential area? π€¦π»ββοΈ
@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 Using the same unscientific method as outlined in the article - I'd put Β£100 on it any day of the week.
@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 The entire student population of Queens does not exclusively live in the Holylands nor does the entire student population of the Holylands go exclusively to Queens.
@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 Firstly, did he write '...it would be vile if student housing...'? No. Secondly.. any area in a five mile radius of a university could be considered suitable for students. By your logic, I could simply ask why is Sandy Row not considered a student area for young nationalists? π§
@WJProgressive @StevensonPaddy @BenLowry2 Our entire education system is segregated right up until university but you're still surprised that students choose to live together when moving to a city that has about 60 peace walls to protect differing communities? The Holylands is a symptom of a sectarian state.

Ben Lowry: "Let's be honest, there's too many taigs getting into Queens" https://t.co/RYIiTAkkWl
@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 Question for @BenLowry2 - how far is Queen's from Sandy Row? π€¦π»ββοΈ https://t.co/8rLyuxSvxE
@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 You're now asking and answering your own questions with assumption. I'm simply observing that Queen's University is surrounded by student areas from Botanic to the Holylands, to Stranmillis, to the length of the Lisburn Rd but Ben Lowry is fixated on one area. Why?
@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 So the question is why are you and Ben so pissed about an area where they majority are one background in a city that elsewhere boasts about sixty peace walls separating such communities?
@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 No and no and that's why we now have equal employment legislation. If I'm not mistaken, it's also illegal to discriminate housing on the basis of religious or political affiliation. However, the majority of houses in the Holylands are not social housing and private rentals.
@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 However, addressing your unrelated question, why are you surprised student populations are segregated when education right up until that point is segregated? There are many rows of student streets off Tate's Ave where accommodation is equally squalid, what's their demographics?
@guitarquestion1 @BenLowry2 That's an entirely different question. I was commenting on your preposterous false equivalence between the forces of a state and a neighbourhood.
@BenLowry2 @guitarquestion1 Are you seriously giving equivalence to the makeup of the police force of a country to the makeup of twenty streets in Belfast? Jesus wept. π€¦π»ββοΈ
@mourneseafood New faces make no difference if they're wearing the same colours.
