You’re also conflating two things - raising a bug is not mandating a maintainer work on it. That bug report also cost the reporter & has value to the maintainer(s), value is not a one way.

@youyuxi @donavon @pomber @github Those two positions are in no way mutually exclusive so, no that logic does not follow. A person can afford many paid software products while not having enough *disposable* income to contribute financially to every piece of software he/she touches.
